If you’re still curious how the estimating process, we’ve made this video to explain it. We hope you’ll take a minute to watch it so you better understand how our industry-standard pricing model works and how it guarantees our customers get a fair price!

Can’t I cleanup sewage myself?

Certainly…assuming you’re a certified restoration technician trained to handle black water cleanup jobs and equipped with state of the art equipment.  But assuming that’s not the case, you need help.  In fact, it’s best that you exit your property entirely and call for help.  Sewage is known to contain nasty viruses and bacteria that can not only be contracted by physical touch but even through the air.  We treat the sewage cleaning process like it should be treated: as a bio-hazardous environment.  We use every safety precaution available to protect your home and our employees!

We certainly don’t want to scare you, but it’s our job to make you aware of the type of situation you’re up against. And when you’re talking about raw sewer water, it’s as bad as it gets in our business in terms of its ability to make you sick. Watch this video to learn more:

We use certified sewage removal techniques and the best equipment available to make sure your home is clean and disinfected!

Not all Portland sewage removal companies are certified to perform the work necessary to deem your property safe after a sewage back-up.  We are, and only use certified processes and the best equipment available to completely remove sewage, clean any damaged items and make sure all affected areas are clean, dry and disinfected.  If you end up choosing a water damage company not certified to perform the work you need, it could end up causing health and financial problems down the road.  Even if you don’t choose us, make sure you choose a company that is certified to cleanup sewage from your property.

Crews are standing by to help you!

If you need emergency restoration services, we have crews located throughout the Portland area so that we can immediately respond to your crisis!

Stop a sewer backup before it happens with these tips!

The city of Portland has a great resource to help you should you be facing a sewer backup, but we have some tips to help you prevent one in the future:

Respect your drains, they play an important role!

fats-oils-grease-clogging-restaurant-sewer-lineWe all take our home’s systems for granted until they break down. And when you’re talking about a sewer pipe not functioning properly, you’re talking about a big, stinky, dangerous mess. So what are some things you can do to make sure your drains and pipes are working properly? Don’t pour grease and oils down the sink. That’s the biggest problem we see when called out to a property that has sewage damage. As for flushing stuff down the toilet, here’s a list of things you should not flush!

Protect against an overflow with a backflow preventer!

Sometimes you do everything right and your drain functions properly and it still backs up during a storm. Why does that happen?  The diagram below explains the issue:

Screen Shot 2014-06-24 at 3.35.31 PMAs you can see, often times an obstruction will find its way into the storm drain and with so much water trying to flow through the system, it blocks some or all of that water from exiting. So where does it go? The only other way it can, up through your main drain meant to feed water into the sewer system. So how do you stop it? Install a backflow preventer (or in this diagram, a backwater valve)!

We are available around the clock if you’ve experienced a Portland sewage back-up and need affordable cleaning services.  We know it’s messy and scary, that’s why our Portland flood damage crews are standing by to help assist you if you’re in need of emergency sewage cleanup services.  Time is crucial.  The longer you wait, the more Portland sewage damage that can occur to your home or office and the greater risk you run of ending up with structural damage to your property and even mold!

That’s why when you call our water restoration crew you can expect an immediate response.  Our techs will come to your office or home to provide a free estimate and we can begin removing sewage immediately.

If you have a Portland basement flood from a backed up sewage line and need professional help, call us now and we’ll be there in minutes to provide a free, no obligation estimate in writing!
