We restore Pittsburgh flood damaged homes and office buildings each day.  Whether from heavy rains or simply the product of water heaters or toilets, or pipes failing, any standing water in your property presents a dangerous situation and something that must be dealt with quickly.  So if you’ve suffered a flood loss, we hope you’ll give us an opportunity to provide you with a free, written estimate for our services as well as a chance to explain why Pittsburgh customers have trusted us for decades!

Proper flood damage cleanup & repair means the right people, processes, and equipment!

We believe it’s those 3 ingredients that make us Pittsburgh’s trusted source for emergency flood cleanup services…

() all technicians are screened and drug tested and undergo thorough training before they can respond to flooding jobs.

() we use certified techniques approved by both the IICRC and RIA associations to ensure your home is safe.

() we only use the most advanced flood cleaning & flood drying equipment available and continuously train our technicians on the proper use of new equipment.

Don’t trust your home flood cleaning needs to a company that isn’t certified and doesn’t use the right equipment…it will only end up costing you in the long run!

Finding a competent flood cleaning company doesn’t have to be complicated…

Just one phone call and we can respond within 60 minutes (usually much faster).

Sometimes the first hurdle is finding a flood damage repair company that will answer their phone, nevermind getting them to hop out of bed and get to your house quickly.  With us, we have live technicians available 24/7 that always answer the phone and can get to your flooded property quickly.

No need to shop around…we offer free estimates and price our service using insurance-approved software.

Another challenge is knowing what to pay.  If you’re shopping around for a fair price, the reality is more flood damage is being done to your property.  Luckily you don’t need to shop around…our services are priced using the same systems your insurance adjuster uses to determine what they’ll reimburse.  We offer the quote in writing at no cost to you!

Watch our video explaining the Xactimate estimating system.  You’ll have peace of mind knowing that the flood cleanup estimate you receive is fair and approved by your insurance company.

We have people on staff that can handle your claim and we can even bill your insurance company directly.

Sometimes our customers need some help with the claims process, so one part of being a full service restoration provider is helping our customers with their claim.  We have staff members that can talk with your insurance adjuster and provide everything necessary for your claim.  We can even bill the carrier directly for the cost of our cleanup flood services!

Not sure how we repair flood damage & repair your home?

If you’d like to get a better idea of how we cleanup flooding damage, watch the video below.  In it we explain the various steps usually involved in a water mitigation & reconstruction project.  It’s important to remember that every job will have its own challenges and require its own mitigation plan, so this video is simply a top-level view of what you can expect.

You get to choose your flood mitigation company – not your insurer!

Somebody just assume that their adjuster is in charge of their water loss and use whatever company is referred by them. We think that’s a mistake, and here’s why:

insurance-claim-formYour adjuster refers business to that water damage company because they have agreed to offer big discounts on their service.  Remember, we all operate off of the same pricing, so if a company charges significantly under the going rate, what level of service do you expect you’ll get? In our experience, these flood cleanup companies that are referred by insurers need to cut corners in order to make up for the loss in revenue and ultimately that hurts you, the homeowner.

What can you do to stop flooding before it happens?

When we’re discussing flooding, we’re talking about outside water that makes it into your property. Luckily, there are quite a few things you can do to try and prevent that from happening. While of course we want to earn your business should you experience a water intrusion into your home, we hope we can help you prevent it entirely. Here are some things you should strongly consider doing to prevent flooding in your home:

Clean your gutters & install downspouts

gutter_cleaningGutters exist to prevent water from pooling by your foundation and getting into your basement. Sadly, too many homeowners neglect them and they become useless. Do yourself a favor and a few times of year clean out your gutters and make sure your downspouts are working properly. It’s such a simple thing to do and goes so far in combating rain water that wants nothing more than to get into your home!

Slope your lawn away from your foundation

Often times people create flower beds right next to their house and end up inadvertently making the flower beds lower than the lawn itself. This creates the perfect pool to allow water to flow back towards your house. Ideally, you grade the beds and/or lawn such that for every foot of distance there is a one inch difference in height. This ensure water moves away from your foundation and not towards it.

Install a sump pump

Sump pumps are your last line of defense. Sometimes, with enough rain, there is only so much you can do to get water away from your basement walls and eventually the ground water will find it’s way in. A sump pump collects and disposes that water before it soaks your basement. The cost isn’t terrible, and it’s certainly cheaper than needing professional basement flood cleanup services!

The city of Pittsburgh has a created a very useful flood resource pamphlet to help educate citizens and business owners and make everyone is prepared for any disaster that might strike!
