Water damage repair services should come with some assurances. You need to know that the water damage has been mitigated and that your property is safe to be in. But you also need to know the water damage company that has done the work backs their service. So if you choose us, you get the peace of mind that comes from knowing if we repair water damage, that service is backed by a 1 year warranty!
Water damage losses represent the largest share of insurance claims. So while filing a water loss claim may be foreign to you, for us and your adjuster, it’s a daily occurrence. So to help with the process, we handle the claim process on your behalf. We can work with the adjuster and of course provide them with everything they’ll need to timely handle your claim.
We can even bill them for our water damage service directly!
We’ve put in place a very consistent work flow that keeps our crews moving forward on your project and keeps you in the loop at every phase of the process. In the video below, we give you a better idea of how the actual work of cleaning up flood damage occurs.
There’s hundreds of different things that can go wrong and cause your home to sustain water damage, but most losses occur from one of the following reasons. Luckily, there are some things you can do to lessen the chances of dealing with the fall out from one of these systems malfunctioning!
Basement flooding from ground water entering the foundation. If you have enough water pooling near your foundation, eventually that water is going to find its way into your basement. The simplest thing you can do to prevent this type of water intrusion is make sure your gutters are working properly and make sure you have sloped the grade of your lawn away from your foundation.
Pipes bursting from freezing temperatures. As is often the case in our area, temperatures can get extremely cold. When that happens, it puts an enormous amount of strain on a property’s plumbing pipes. If pipes aren’t properly insulated, they run the risk of freezing and bursting, or bursting once they begin to thaw out. Please take some time to inspect the pipes most vulnerable to outside temperatures and make sure they are properly insulated for the winter!
Household appliances malfunctioning. The single biggest water damage loss we see if the water line that feeds into the refrigerator to serve water and make ice. When it comes loose, it can spray a huge amount of water in your kitchen quickly. The other common household appliances that can flood your home quickly are washing machines (the supply hoses need to be replaced every 5 years), dish washers, and hot water heater leaks. It’s important to properly maintain these systems as adjusters often look for homeowner negligence when assessing a claim, and if they see a water heater with a large amount of rust and corrosion, they might deny your claim on the grounds that it could have been prevented by you.
